Tulsa Ballet

cygnet society

The Cygnet Society of Tulsa Ballet is an educational outreach program specifically created for eighth grade girls. The program is designed to offer interested young ladies the privilege of experiencing an insider's view of the art. It is our goal to help each girl have fun, build confidence, make new friends and instill a life-long appreciation of the ballet.

The Cygnet Society name was inspired by one of nature's most elegant creatures and ballet's most traditional symbols – the Swan. Young swans are officially called cygnets. Within a year or so of their birth, the downy gray cygnet is transformed into a majestic bird renowned for its breathtaking beauty and grace. We hope to provide our Cygnets with a fun-filled year of activities and education as they make this important journey in life.
